Prepare Your Car for the Winter

So as the winters are here. The coats and the pullovers are out now, the socks and the gloves are to be worn. Everyone make their selves comfortable and warm from the winter. But in that case we always forget about our vehicles that we neglect from the pampering of winter.


Everyone should make their car’s up to date in the winters than to fancy up their wardrobe, it’s not that time consuming or even not that hard or difficult to diagnose the car once in a week to avoid any problem with the car in the winters when everything get freezes, make sure that your engine do not get freeze.
By stepping forward in the car’s maintenance you will ensure yourself that you won’t breakdown during the snowy, frosty or rainy days.

Before we get under the hoods, the most important thing to know is that not to over accelerate the vehicle or to brake hard that sudden, this will improve the long run of the car and tires would be maintained.

Firstly, make sure that your engine oil level and the filter are in their required position for the winters. The cold air will thicken the engine oil, with which the engine will not lubricate properly. For winter you can ask your mechanic or any expert of engine to suggest you the oil that suits your engine during the winters.

The car needs much power to ignite in the winters, for that you must check your battery levels. The batteries need to be fully charged and the battery charger must be up to date as the minimum battery charge level to ignite in winters must be 12.4 volts. The connections or the wires must be very well connected and safely attached to their respective terminals.

The fuel must be regularly check as obvious, but some other fluids like steering & brake fluid must be also considered to keep the wheel of vehicle smoothly moving.

As the winters are very slippery and needs smoothness on the road then one has to take every precaution to maintain their tires in order to keep the drive smooth and stick to road. The tires must be checked regularly to avoid any accident of getting the car slipped.

And make sure that all the suspension work is properly in running condition of your car like the cv axles and the cv joints are working fine it is the most important thing to check while driving in winters as there is a lot of risk attached with the outdated suspension.
